各省、自治區(qū)、直轄市人民政府辦公廳，國務院各部委、各直屬機構辦公廳（室）：
根據(jù)國務院機構的調(diào)整和國務院領導同志的指示精神，經(jīng)外交部審核并征求各部門意見，我們對《國務院各部委、各直屬機構英文譯名》（國辦秘函〔1998〕337號）作了修訂。此次修訂的英文譯名，本著“尊重歷史、照顧現(xiàn)實、注重本部門意見、參考英語國家相應用法”的原則，盡可能兼顧了譯法統(tǒng)一和政府職能的轉(zhuǎn)變。此外，對中文名稱未冠以“中華人民共和國”或“中國”字樣的單位在對外交往中如何把握的問題在附注中作了說明。為方便工作，現(xiàn)將修訂的《國務院各部委、各直屬機構英文譯名》印發(fā)給你們。
